Interiors for Hari balaji

Overview

Architect's description: A soulful contemporary residence fusing clean modern luxury with organic traditional Indian heritage elements.

The contemporary base is beautifully interrupted by warm textural elements deeply rooted in Indian craftsmanship. Natural cane partitions, raw exposed terracotta brickwork, handcrafted teak wood pillars, and a traditional hanging jhula inject warmth and memory. Foyer: The foyer in colors of teak wood, bronze mirror and cane slow down the senses and welcome guests with a subtle warmth. Puja: The traditional mandir reimagined in texture of concrete, hand crafted solid wood pillars, all tied well with the brick tile with granite coping. Living room: The traditional swing becomes an organic floating partition between the living and the puja yet keeping the two spaces connected well. The TV console with a tones down backdrop of natural wood beading, floating set drawers connected to the wall shelves though ms work with stringed beaded spheres. Kitchen The charcoal shutters, the walnut base and the grey quartz come together magically. Daughter's rm: This contemporary bedroom features a low-profile, floating platform bed set against an elegant feature wall paneled with vertical wooden slats and subtle botanical wallpaper. Warm under-bed LED strip lighting creates a striking floating effect over the dark wood herringbone flooring, which is softened by a large, circular braided jute rug. To the left, a built-in study nook incorporates a minimalist wooden desk and open black metal shelving illuminated by warm task lighting. The space is completed by a compact window dressed in a structured beige Roman shade and a full-length arched floor mirror placed adjacent to the workspace. Parents rm: This earth-toned bedroom centers on a wooden bed with a cane-woven headboard. The split-finish feature wall combines off-white paint with gray concrete-finish wainscoting, accented by four framed tribal art silhouettes. The sheer white curtains fill the space with light, while a smaller window features a textured gray Roman shade. The concrete-look floor is grounded by a dark woven rectangular rug. MBR: A platform bed with an ochre-orange base and sage linens sits against low wooden wainscoting. The feature wall includes a horizontal wooden band inset with a repeating pattern of circular metal foil cutouts, set above low-profile fluted wooden wainscoting and topped by a matching wood-clad bulkhead. The green flooring features a smooth, seamless matte finish with a distinct sage-dominant undertone. It provides a cool, continuous base that contrasts with the warm ochre-orange bed frame and integrated wooden wall panels.
